Ingredients

Eggy Cheese & Herb Roll

4 ea Euro-Bake Basil Cheese Dinner Rolls
410g Eggy Custard
30g Hickory Smoked Bacon, crispy and chopped
15g Fontina Cheese, grated
15g Gruyere Cheese, grated
30g Parsley

Eggy Custard

210g Whole Eggs
210g Heavy Cream
1g Salt
1g Black Pepper
5g Fine Herbs

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Score a square on the top of the Cheese Roll with Herbs. Carefully remove the top and scoop out some of the bread inside to create a cavity.
Using a pastry brush, brush a thin coating of the egg custard inside the hollow bread square. Place onto a baking sheet and bake for one to two minutes.
Remove the square from the oven and cool for five minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 275°F- 300°F. Add the shredded cheese and bacon to the square. Then pour in the custard mixture and place in oven for 20 to 30 minutes until the custard is set.

Eggy Custard

In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, dairy, salt and pepper together and set aside.
